Alsea, along with its partners and sister companies has made it a goal to impact coffee farmers and their families. Todos Sembramos Café returns to Starbucks stores in Mexico and announces a soil study laboratory in partnership with the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo. The lab will provide Mexican coffee farmers access to affordable soil testing. This initiative is possible thanks to the donations collected as part of “Todos Sembramos Café” program. The annual program returns for the eighth consecutive year, through which rust-resistant coffee plants are donated to coffee growers from Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla and Veracruz. Also, in partnership with Fondo para la Paz, Alsea has impacted life conditions in over 151 coffee producers and their families in the Coast region of Oaxaca, Mexico, through strategies that promote food security and development for their children, and families.
