Olam

Olam is a global commodity and ingredients supply chain manager, which sources coffee from close to 30 origins globally. Driven by its corporate purpose to “Re-imagine Global Agriculture and Food Systems'', Olam aims to deliver a triple positive impact in the places where we source and grow products, working with our partners to create and sustain “Living Landscapes” where prosperous farmers, flourishing rural communities, and healthy ecosystems coexist.

Statement of support

"Sustainability is at the heart of Olam, not just because it is the right thing to do, but also because it is critical to make our business sustainable in the long term. We need to increase agricultural production without over-extending the earth’s capacity to provide, satisfy the increasing demand from customers that want to know the coffee they buy is responsibly sourced, and ensure that farmers and rural communities see farming as an economically viable option, particularly for younger generations. We are driven by our ambitious corporate Purpose to “Re-imagine Global Agriculture and Food Systems”, within our ethos of Growing Responsibly. We aim to achieve three outcomes: 1] Prosperous farmers and food systems, 2] Thriving communities, 3] Re-generation of the living world."

Our Commitments

Olam is driven by its corporate purpose to “Re-imagine global agriculture and food systems” to deliver a triple positive impact in the places where we source and grow our coffee, working across our businesses and with our partners to create and sustain “Living Landscapes,” where prosperous farmers, flourishing rural communities, and healthy ecosystems coexist. We envision that through dynamic alliances, we will scale efforts and impact. For well over a decade, Olam Coffee has played a leading role in helping to build a sustainable coffee supply chain. With our presence on-the-ground in 18 coffee origins, our networks, and sustainability teams, we have focused on programs that make a lasting and tangible impact on the livelihoods of farmers, their communities, and the places on which we all depend. We are committed to continuing this path to achieve a more sustainable coffee sector.
