As part of our goal to create a better future, in 2022 we increased our expenditure to integrate more coffee volumes into our Responsible Sourcing programme. This has enabled us to achieve 77% of responsibly sourced coffee versus our planned 32%.

Directly Reaching over 500,000 Coffee & Tea Smallholders by 2025

Farmers throughout the world face numerous environmental and economic challenges. JDE Peet's recognizes the role we play in elevating and supporting the farmers through continuous improvement, which we do through our Common Grounds programme in partnership with key stakeholders in the supply chain. In 2022, 119,800 new smallholder farmers were reached in 22 countries. Cumulatively since 2015, 590,000 smallholders have been reached, exceeding our target of 500,000.

Investing 10 million Euros over 5 years to Improve Smallholder Farmers’ Access to Finance

We continue to support the IDH Farm Fit fund which supports investments in smallholder farmers by de-risking investments in smallholder farming and helps drive sustainable impact by lowering risks and costs for both farmers and investors.
