GEF FOLUR

The Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration Impact Program (FOLUR) is a $345 million, seven-year initiative funded by the Global Environment Facility and led by the World Bank. FOLUR seeks to make production systems, value chains and landscapes more sustainable – greening commodity value chains and improving the conditions for sustainable land use practices and landscape restoration. The program targets sustainable production landscapes in 27 country projects for eight major commodities, including coffee. Coffee countries in the program include: Burundi, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mexico, Peru and Uganda.
