Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company
The Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company was established in 2002 with the vision of roasting specialty-grade coffees that contribute back to environmental preservation, local community groups, and improving the health of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. We support the sustainable production of coffees through purchases of Organic, Certified Bird-Friendly and Fair Trade coffees.

These are the pillars that we use as the lens through which we act as a company, in determining not only how we will make decisions on our business actions for growth, but how we will view our purchasing, packaging, training, community identity, hiring practices…. everything.
The H2O Initiative:
We developed the H2O initiative with the goal of ensuring that a minimum of 2% of our total annual sales are used in the support of clean water, watershed preservation, and environmental health. Because we believe that organic and bird-friendly growing practices affect water quality in coffee-producing communities our growing proportion of green bean purchases that support certified organic production and shade-grown coffees are also now considered part of our H2O commitment.
