Since our foundation in 2002 we have supported more than 4500 companies on their journey to become climate neutral [net zero] reducing their impact on the environment. Formerly Climate Neutral Group, now part of Anthesis Group since January 2022. Our Climate Activator Standard is developed under the Code of Good Practice of ISEAL. Since 2021 we are accepted as a Community Member of ISEAL. The standard provides companies a robust framework and the tools to acquire insight in their carbon footprint and gradually reduce greenhouse gas [GHG] emissions in accordance with the Paris Agreement (25% GHG reduction in 2023 as interim goal) while' offsetting' residual emissions. Through offsetting our clients have supported multiple projects in forest conservation, restoration and renewable energy. Coffee Roasters and brands certified against our standard are audited on a regular basis by independent certification bodies and may use our Climate Activator trademark on the packaging of coffee products. The standard is anticipating to meet the future Green Claims Directive requirements.

One of the instruments to help meet the climate targets and compensate remaining emissions Certificate Owners can make use of "Insetting". That can incentivise farmers to reduce their emissions, while realising positive impact on communities and nature too. As member of the Insetting Platform Initiative, together with other members we further develop this instrument, leading to an effective, verifiable impact on coffee supply chains, rewarding farmers, and include nature restoration as co-benefit.

Moreover, our carbon project development teams can develop carbon projects against the highest standards in coffee regions, including carbon farming and biochar, agroforestry, rewarding farmers for their interventions.
